Claire Most’s hair routine

Claire Most, 28 years old, Product manager – Portland, USA. @claire_most

What is your favorite product?
My favorite product is a Shea Moisture mask with Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil. It brings intense hydration and honestly I can’t live without it. Sometimes I mix my mask with a few drops of pepper mint essential oil and a spoon of vegetal glycerin. After this, my hair is super soft and moisturize. It’s really amazing. Pepper mint stimulate blood circulation and hair growth.

Do you have a secret to keep your hair moisturized?
Well… I’m supposed to tied them up every night to keep them safe from my bed sheets (cotton absorbs your hair hydration), but I never do. I think I’m going to buy a satin pillow case. It’s been two years I’m saying I must buy one but I really do, three days after my shampoo, my hair is already dry, so I must tied them.

What is your night routine to avoid bad surprises in the morning?
First thing first, I don’t sleep with wet hair! Because the day after my curls look bad and a side of my hair is flat, in a nutshell: it’s a disaster (I look like a poodle). If I want my hair to look really nice, I take care of them in the morning: I spray them with water and I use cream to define my curls on the section that need some help. I love the Curling cream from Moisture Miracle (with shea butter & flaxseed oil), it moisture my hair, define my curls and it smells good.

What is your miracle solution in case of a bad hair day?
In case I’m having a bad hair day I’d rather tied my hair. Either I detangle them under the shower with my conditioner from Shea Moisture’s Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil collection, or I use the Leave in Conditioner So Frizz from Niwel. Then I do my sleek bun. To make it look really sleek I use my eco styler gel (cheap, and it doesn’t leave pellicles). I brush it and then I apply the Finishing Cream from OUAI, it keeps my hair in place all day. It seems long when you read it but it takes two minutes!

What are your favorite e-shops to buy your hair products?
I think that Amazon is the best website to buy everything! I order most of my routine from there because I don’t find them in Portland. I also use Sephora to get products from Ouai and Niwel for the SO FRIZZ collection.
Extra tip: My skin struggles to adapt to Portland’s water, so I create some pellicles in my hair and it was quite uncomfortable. Now I rince my hair with apple cider vinegar before I wash my hair. I won’t lie, it stings a bit but It works! It balance my skins pH.D. Since then I don’t have any pellicles, my scalp is clean and my hair is shiny.
