We have seen them arrive progressively on the market, the beauty tools have become an essential for all skincare lovers! True reference in the wellness and beauty world, the brand Holidermie has proposed them from the beginning, as its founder, Mélanie Huynh, says:

Since the first day, beauty tools have always been a part of Holidermie story.

Whether we’re experts or novices, Standards wanted to look into the subject and learn a little more about the use and benefits of beauty accessories. So we asked Mélanie Huynh, a real expert in the field, to give us her tips on how to make your face glow from morning to night!

Hi Melanie, first of all, what are the specifics and the common factor of Holidermie beauty tools?

Mélanie Huynh : Hello Standards! Our approach being holistic, the beauty tools are the continuity of the treatments applied in mindfulness and the intake of food supplements. They are all there to act on different factors such as lymphatic drainage, anti-aging action, micro-circulation, relaxation of tensions or stimulation of collagen production.

The use of beauty tools should be done with full awareness and breathing exercises. It is also very important to clean them daily with soap and water and to rinse them. To recharge them with good energies, it is also essential to expose them during the full moon or to purify them with Palo Santo or sage. And if you break your rose quartz beauty accessory, don’t throw the crystals away, you should either put them in the nature near the plants, because they grow thanks to the crystals, or put them in your flower pots near your home. And I say that because the majority of our beauty accessories are made of rose quartz, whether it is the DuoRoller, the Gua Sha or the Facial Reflexology Stick.

What face routine do you recommend with the beauty tools?

Mélanie Huynh : Then the morning I like to use the DuoRoller in pink quartz because it decongests and puts back the lymph! Indeed, when we sleep during the night and that we remain consequently, lying down, the lymph stagnates and that is why we wake up in the morning with notably the pockets and the inflated face – therefore often I pass it under cold water and I use it as soon as I wake up. Then I do a little Gua Sha because I like to work on the fine lines and have this smoothing effect. Also, the Gua Sha helps to boost all the blood circulation and stimulate collagen production. What is also nice with this tool is that you can really work on the contours of the face by redrawing the cheekbones for example and work on the arch of the eyebrows or the bags under the eyes.

In the evening I do the Facial Reflexology Stick as I have a little more time. I like to press on all the energy points on the rose quartz side and then use the rolling head to tone the face and neck and I also pass it on the shoulders. Also, what you need to know about the Stick is that it will press on the energy points of the body that are connected to different organs; there are 23 points in total that you can stimulate. For example on the forehead, there is the bladder, everything around the mouth will be directed towards the stomach, on the side of the face, towards the cheeks, it will be located the intestines… And the best thing about the Stick is that it’s super easy to carry around, because it’s made of metal, it doesn’t break and that’s great when you’re on the go.

Regarding the Ice Globes Face, I will use them from time to time when I see that I have really large pores or feel a bit puffy or in the summer when it is very hot.

It is important to use beauty tools on the face but also on the neck and décolleté. It is good to devote at least 15 minutes a day, every day. In beauty, regularity is very important.

Mélanie Huynh : To note – for the Stick, no need for oil; for the DuoRoller, I love to use it when I make a mask or an enzymatic exfoliant, I put it in hot water and it makes the active ingredients penetrate better; and for the Gua Sha, it is essential to put oil because it has to glide otherwise you can damage the dermis and irritate the skin
