Hello Mayia, first of all what would be your advices to start back to school season in the best way possible? Do you have rituals that you do?

To start this part of the year serenely you got the spend time outside, in contact with elements et stay active. Practice some sports, choose to walk instead of using the subway if possible. In September you need to get back on track gently and not go brutally into your work routine. Enjoy the light, sun is a real source of joy, go and see the sunset, share moments with your loved ones as if you’re extending your holidays. Take some more time for yourself, book a massage, or a hammam to make this moment lighter and say goodbye to stress.

Think about crossing parcs or spend the week-end walking in forest. Autumn is coming, enjoy this moment to let go, the end of summer is the moment thing slow down, it’s the perfect moment to take care of yourself.

The good gesture: hydrate yourself, exfoliate, face masks and meditate.

Some tips to balance wellness and the infamous back to work season?

  • Take some me time outside of work hours and do energetic beauty rituals.
  • Think about your morning beauty routine et do some Gua Sha massage to tone your face.
  • A matcha ritual to take a zen moment and appreciate its virtues.
  • Get some oxygen while watching the sunrise for the early birds.
  • Do a real lunch break and eat in silence or take some minutes to reconnect your energies. It’s necessary to keep your vital strength. 
  • Laugh: joy and love are the highest energies and makes us beautiful. 
  • Start your day with some breath work (the Nadi shodana pranayama breath technique) you can find the exercice page 153E of my book: The energetic beauty. This breath work purifies our mind and body and regulates metabolism, it’s the perfect technique to get rid of stress.
  • Meditate on your goals and to positive affirmations daily to get rid of bad habits of the past. It allows us to soothe or brain.
  • Massage your body as much as you can to make your energies move. During summer, our body is more free thanks to the light clothing we wear, and we need to readapt to heavier clothes. You can also do some lympathic drainage thanks to a Gua Sha or go and get it in a spa.

Your beauty routine before bed?

My beauty routine before bed always starts with some double cleansing because during the day your skin accumulates impurities. Your night routine is mandatory and important, it’s during the night that your skin regenerates. It’s my favorite moment to take care of it.  

First I apply an oily cleansing balm that I massage into my skin a least for a minute to activate blood circulation and get rid of make up and pollution. I rince using a wet cloth and then I use a cleansing gel, rince and dry my skin.If I feel dryness I use floral water like jasmin or orange blossom to soothe and refresh my face. My skin is now ready to receive serums and nutritive oils. Then comes the pink quartz face roller massage to help the actives penetrate. I also do a detox night once a month during which I don’t apply anything on my skin to let it regenerate naturally.

To finish, do you have recommendations to give to get a peaceful night?

For great nights and sweet dreams you need to get ready. To dream well, you need to sleep well and sleep well means live well, it’s during night that our cells regenerates. If you struggle falling asleep keep in mind that it’s something that you prepare. Create a favorable climate and get ready to sleep. eat lightly or early to make sure your stomach isn’t struggling with digestion. Have a clean and tidy room in which air is fresh (around 18 degrees), use lavender mist or palo santo and then air your space. Avoid screens 1 hour prior your bed time to soothe your mind and create space to ritualize your bed time.

Think about infusion with sedatives virtues, but also think about meditation music, sonotherapy which has soothing virtues, you can find some on YouTube (Meditative Mind channel has some to harmonize energies). You can also use amethyst under your pillow or your bed table, this crystal help to stay calm. Or you can also get a selenite to rock you to sleep and all night long.
