Every year, 8 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans. A tragedy that reduces biodiversity and has a direct impact on our health. Indeed, according to the latest reports, some 700 species of marine animals have already ingested plastic or been trapped in it.

In the face of these chilling facts, it’s important to highlight the work of people who are striving to innovate for a better world and a brighter future.

This makes La Bouche Rouge the first eco-responsible French high-beauty House to offer clean formulas in refillable, recyclable, plastic-free cases. Since 2017, the House’s elegant minimalism has ensured that quality and sustainability go hand in hand. A commitment that combines circularity, innovative materials, biodiversity, climate and redistribution.

Indeed, all our products have been designed, in close collaboration with the best French scientists and craftsmen, to be 100% refillable, reusable and 100% recyclable. What’s more, the materials used by La Bouche Rouge are all infinitely recyclable or compostable. As for the ingredients, they are of natural origin and harvested as close as possible to the production site. In Saint-Suliac, Brittany, for example, La Bouche Rouge hand-picks a seaweed with anti-aging properties. What’s more, our products are never tested on animals, and beeswax is replaced by vegetable wax. What’s more, the brand’s laboratory and production site are located in OrlĂ©ans, in a building with geothermal heating powered by solar energy, reducing energy consumption by a factor of three.

What’s more, for every red sold, La Bouche Rouge “donates” the equivalent of 100 liters of drinking water to the Eau vive internationale association, in support of the children’s program in the Kemerida region of Togo.
