What is your first beauty move in the morning?
My first beauty move is not the most glamorous but it’s vital: I put my contact lenses, if I don’t my day can’t start, then I wash my face with a natural soap and an electric washer.
What is the product you’ll never leave?
I can’t leave without my moisturizing cream, my skin is very very sensitive and it needs more moisture than I do. I’m a huge fan of the Moisturizing Soft Cream by La Mer . To be honest, I love to try out new creams (which fit with my skin in order of composition) in order to be able to give advices to the people following me and who have skin issues. I like Dior, Dr Barbara Strum and WoodCopenhagen for their moisturizing products.
After a long day on set, how do you take care of your skin?
After being all day long on set, I do a good mask because I never wear foundation , so I guess my skin must been totally freaked out with foundation on. So as soon as I get home, I get rid of make up with a face oil, then I use my electric cleanser and natural soap. After that I do a deep cleansing from WoodCopenhagen, and I wait for my skin to dry (quick advice: ton rub your towel on your face, just press it gently). For the brands and products I use, it depends on my skin, I observe it a lot, try to find out if it’s dry, if there is any lack of moisturizing, or any redness. But the steps stay the same: serum, night balm, and a moisturizer to protect (Rodolph from La Mer gave me this advice: always apply your skincare 30 minutes at least before you go to bed, it save room for the products to get into your skin).
You’ve turned your hyperpigmentation into a strength, what advice would you give to the people having the same particularity?
The advices for people with hyperpigmentation, acne, scars and others “imperfections” are infinite. But the one which works best for me is to not hide it from anyone, embrace them. You need to realize that it is what makes you unique and that difference is in reality a strength.
