CEO Talk: Aroma-Zone, natural beauty accessible to all
It’s impossible to ignore the Aroma-Zone phenomenon, which is now attracting more than just a discerning public. And if we all have at least one cult product in mind, what about the approach behind this natural beauty giant? Interview with Sabrina Herlory, CEO of Aroma-Zone.
Hi Sabrina, first of all, can you tell us about your background?
Hello Standards, of course I’m delighted! I’ve been working in the beauty and well-being sector since I started out, and it’s a fascinating world that still brings me so much joy. I started my career in the United States with the L’Occitane group, where I spent 9 years before becoming General Manager for France and Europe. I then joined the Estée Lauder group as General Manager France of MAC Cosmetics. In 2021, I was appointed CEO of Aroma Zone following its takeover, a French company with very high potential and which combines the major characteristics in which I believe: an integrated model with strong convictions about responsible and societal commitment and the desire to offer the best to everyone. So it’s with a real desire to shake things up in this industry thanks to Aroma-Zone’s unique model, driven by its community, that I’m now supporting and managing the fantastic Aroma-Zone teams.
How would you define Aroma-Zone in a few words?
Our mission is simple: to democratise a natural way of life. To achieve this, the R&D teams at our laboratory based in Cabrières d’Avignon in the Vaucluse create the best products, in the best dosage, with the best active ingredients at the fairest price. In a nutshell: Aroma-Zone is an expert in natural skincare, beauty and well-being for everyone! Economic inclusiveness is a major commitment for us, because it’s important to make the best dermo-cosmetics and natural food supplements available to everyone.
So what is the development process for your products?
The process has always been the same and it remains the same. It is both simple and sophisticated.
It all starts with our community, who talk to us every day thanks to an active listening model based on social networks, feedback from our various points of sale, our e-commerce site, etc. Thanks to this, we are as close as possible to the real-life issues to which we need to provide a response: the best, the most effective, the best sourced, the best formulated. To do this, our R&D laboratory researches and confirms the scientific findings, finds the best active ingredients, formulates and clinically tests them, and then goes into production before distributing our launches in our 19 shops and on our e-commerce site.

For Aroma-Zone, the choice to be part of your customers’ daily lives (home, wellbeing, beauty…) is essential? Where does this approach come from?
This point is totally in line with the previous one: actively listening to our community from day one.
Aroma-Zone was born from a blog on aromatherapy and essential oils, where all the scientific knowledge on the subject was distilled through exchanges with our web users. At the request of our community, this blog became an aromatherapy website, followed by raw ingredients such as vegetable oils, hydrolats and powders, and now a wide range of ready-to-use products such as our concentrated skin serums. So it’s our community that has carried us for over 20 years, and we go (and will go) where our community asks us to go.
And finally, if you had to recommend a routine to someone who has never used Aroma-Zone products, what would it be?
So I’m going to recommend my routine, which I love! Every morning: 1 tablespoon of Marine Collagen + 2 tablets of Hyaluronic Acid. Then I use the 3.5% Hyaluronic Acid Concentrate Serum – which is one of the highest doses on the market! I also use the Youth Face Cream. In the evening, I do my double cleansing with the Plum & Oatmeal Cleansing Oil – which is very pleasant and super effective – and the Papaya & Vitamin C Enzymatic Cleansing Powder – a joy for the skin. Then I apply the Replenishing Balm to my face and body. Beautiful skin results guaranteed!
