A day with Sofiia Manousha – My Beautyfuel Food

Let’s go for 24 hours with Sofiia Manousha, actress and founder of the holistic beauty website mybeautyfuelfood.com. Clean beauty lovers and healthy recipes fans, you’re in the right place!

07AM-10AM

“I usually wake up at 7am, I always have the same ritual”

I dry brush my body, it’s perfect to stimulate lymph and erase toxins from the night. Then I do a 5 to 10 minutes Skin Gym, with my Roll-on, followed by my Gua Sha (from Roll On Jade) always to drain lymph and to smooth my skin (I let them in the freezer). To finish, I use the Essence de Rose from Tata Harper on my face (I’m in love with it)!

Then, I drink water from a glass jar to stay hydrated. After that I do a 10 minutes meditation, I swallow my dietary complements (these days I use the HoliMoist from Holidermie which is a mix of probiotics and precious oils, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E) for a total moisturizing effect.

I do a celery juice with my extractor that I take away, I go to the Reformer or the Gyrotonic, depends on my mood (at the Studio Rituel), I turn on my phone when I take the subway, never before.

In general, on Saturday mornings I’m at Barre Shape, it’s my passion (but I hurt myself during the holidays, I couldn’t go back yet), it clears my mind.

My beauty routine is really simple. First I clean my skin with the Gel Nettoyant Susanne Kaufmann. If I have a casting or a photo shoot, I use Resurfacing Mask from Tata Harper which illuminates the skin, then I apply The Cream from Augustinus Bader a brand developed by a biologist who studied stem cells and cell technology, I love and the results are crazy on my skin!

11AM-2PM

I go out Pilates around 10am, time to go back home, if I do not have an appointment in the morning, I drank my celery juice on the way, I practice intermittent fasting regularly: the morning I hydrate myself and drink a lot of matcha. When I’m at home I love doing some bowls with lots of vegetables full of antioxidants and minerals. Around 11am, I make a green juice kale, spinach, fennel, apple.

Then, around 12:30 I’m doing a Chakchouka, it’s a traditional Mediterranean dish that I veganized: I replaced eggs with chickpeas for proteins. Red peppers are rich in antioxidants. In addition, the carotene contained in pepper, and especially when it is red, favors a pretty doll. It actively fights free radicals responsible for aging skin.

Here’s the recipe – exclusively for Standards Magazine.

My Vegan Shakshuka – by Sofiia Manousha

I remember the smell of my grandmother’s bread when I woke up in our riad in northern Morocco. Breakfast has always been a ritual in our family… A large table, msemen, harcha, olives, fresh fruit, coffee with milk, mint tea and shakshuka that we eat accompanied bread, and especially traditionally, it is accompanied by a Moroccan omelette.

Cooking time: 1 hour

Ingredients:
– Red peppers
– Green peppers
– Cherry tomatoes / tomatoes
– Clove garlic
– Chickpea
– Cumin, paprika, turmeric, black pepper and Himalayan salt

Realisation:

Preheat the oven to 180°. Cut the peppers into thin slices, and the tomatoes. Place all on baking paper, add garlic, drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper and bake for 30 minutes.

When the peppers and tomatoes are golden and melting, put everything in a bowl, add the spices (small tips: you can add a tear of water of orange blossom). Brown chickpeas in cumin and some olive oil and add on top.

When I have lunch outside I like to go to Mandarine and Capucine, the floral canteen of my friends in the heart of the Marais. Otherwise Chez Soya their plate mezze is incredible! Also, a classic: Wild and the Moon.

3PM-5PM

In the afternoon, I usually shoot or edit my film. When I can, I try to stall a Kobido massage once a month at Délphine Langlois, the goddess of Kobido, for a glow skin, I’ll see my friend Samer who created Maison Flamel, the oxygen care is magical! For my general well-being, Suisen‘s belly massage is a discovery that has changed my hormonal balance. This massage regenerates and rebalances all energies. I also go to Pole Cryo once a week for a Cryo followed by a Stendo which is lymphatic drainage.

6PM-11PM

Around 6pm when I’m alone, I prepare my dinner. In general, I make roast vegetables with lots of spices made in Morocco. I have a sauce that I love based on moringa and Nutrionnal Yeast that I love. All my recipes are related to the skin. I usually finish my dinner with a blueberry infusion, ideal for draining and eliminating. I always cut my phone and my computer when I eat and from 22h my phone is on airplane mode.

“All my days are different, but my rituals are still the same.”

I clean my skin with Huile Démaquillante from Oh My Cream, following by Gel Nettoyant of Susanne Kaufmann. Once a week, I’m doing a fruit acids peeling from Alaena. For the night, I apply the EGF de BIOEFFECT serum which is amazing!

I turn my phone off around 10pm, I watch some videos on Youtube. I’m a huge fan of Emily Didonato’s channel, she’s so cool… At 11pm I meditate a few minutes, then I put my silk mask and I go to bed. I sleep with a Venus & Gaia silk pillowcase and honestly, I saw the difference on my skin and my hair. Silk smoothes the features and softens the skin, it’s crazy!
